WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif.—A new lawsuit has been filed on behalf of a woman identified as Jane Doe 7105, naming the parent company of the Rainbow Bar & Grill for developing an environment that allowed disgraced porn star Ron Jeremy to assault her.
Rockin' Horse Inc., owner of the bar and grill on the Sunset Strip, is accused of facilitating an environment to "conceal and ratify his illegal behavior." The lawsuit is the fourth of its kind brought by unnamed women who claim the restaurant allowed the porn star to assault them, reports Rolling Stone culture writer CT Jones.
AVN reported in late August that two women claimed the actor had sexually assaulted them at the Rainbow Bar & Grill. They are suing for "negligence in maintaining a safe environment for their female patrons."
In November, a judge approved a request for Jeremy to be released from prison to a private residence for round-the-clock medical care.
In emails between case stakeholders seen by the Los Angeles Times, Jeremy was granted medical release on the grounds of deteriorating health.
This comes after a court declared him mentally incompetent to stand trial for more than 30 counts of felony sexual assault.
Suffering from severe dementia, Jeremy was ordered under the supervision of a conservator. He's remained incarcerated at a men's jail in Los Angeles County, awaiting admittance into a state mental hospital for treatment.
Jeremy, 70, has seen a dramatic decline in his health for much of the case against him.
The email seen by the Times states that Jeremy will require “round the clock medical care” after it was determined that “no medical facility will take him.”
Jeremy was indicted on 34 charges of sexual assault in 2021 for crimes committed over a 23-year span.
