Two Women Sue Rainbow Bar & Grill Over Ron Jeremy Assault Case

LOS ANGELES—Two women who claim that veteran porn actor Ron Jeremy sexually assaulted them at the Rainbow Bar & Grill in West Hollywood are suing the famed eatery for “negligence in maintaining a safe environment for their female patrons,” according to Deadline.com today.

The restaurant’s management are accused of knowingly allowing “a sexual predator into their bar time and time again and allowed him a dungeon, the employee’s restroom, for committing heinous sexual acts against Defendant’s female patrons,” read the Aug. 21 complaint filed on behalf of Jane Doe 1 and Jane Doe 2 in Los Angeles Superior Court against the owners of the Rainbow.

Citing grand jury testimony that resulted in Jeremy’s arrest on multiple rape charges in 2020, the lawsuit filed by Los Angeles-based firm Panish Shea Boyle Ravipudi LLP and Encino-set Nabati Law PC seeks a unspecified damages for their clients after the alleged March 17, 2017, attacks in the facility’s back bathroom, Deadline reported.

According to the lawsuit, Jeremy escorted the two women past several staff members to the restaurant’s rear. Once they reached the bathroom, Jeremy followed Jane Doe 1 and Jane Doe2 into the bathroom and attempted to solicit pictures of them that appeared like they were giving him a blowjob.

Jane Doe 1 managed to escape, but Jane Doe 2 did not and Jeremy continued to sexually assault Jane Doe 2 in the bathroom, putting his hands in her private areas, despite her pleas for him to stop. At one point, after being in the bathroom for an unclear period of time, Jane Doe 2 shouted at Jeremy to stop, in hopes that Rainbow Bar staff would hear her and intervene. But after they escaped the restroom, Jeremy still continued to target them while they attempted to leave Rainbow Bar, the suit alleged.

Jeremy in early February was found unfit to stand trial in the 30-count case against him for rape and other sexual misconduct spanning decades. He is currently being held at a state mental health facility.
