With its shallow, fly-by-night script and generic white-bread sex, Route 69 is in dire need of some serious repaving.

After dumping their respective cad boyfriends, Farrah and Tiny Tyler hit the open highway in a red 'Vette and naturally spend much of the rest of the vid on their knees and backs.  This, the screenplay would have us believe in a forced attempt at profundity, somehow enables them to transcend feeling victimized by their former significant others.  Yeah, whatever.

The only feeling viewers are likely to experience while watching the tape's five sex scenes, meanwhile, is boredom.  Things start off okay with a decently-energized Farrah/Christian Steel pairing, but then settle into pure patchwork tepidness for the remaining three boy/girl couplings and single hetero threeway.

Not helping matters is director Cash Markman's proclivity for slow motion genital thrusting shots, a technique that effectively retards whatever little strokable momentum those scenes had going for them.

In the final analysis, Route 69 is quite harmless.  And that's just about the last thing porn should be.
