Biography
After over four years in the business James Bonn has walked home with every award that is important to a performer in this business. Starting out doing Playboy and Playboy type videos he switched to hardcore years ago and has been involved in almost every critically acclaimed movie in the business ever since. This is evident in the fact at the 2000 AVN awards, the adult industry's equivalent of the Academy Awards, four out of the ten films nominated for best film and /or director, had him starring or prominently featured in the movie. In the eventual winner of the best film category, "Seven Deadly Sins", Mr. Bonn was nominated for best sex scene/couple but didn't win it.because he won best sex scene/couple for another movie,"Search for the Snow Leopard". The only male performer to be nominated for best sex scene twice within the same category. Then James won Best Actor in a Film for his performance in a totally different film from the two previously mentioned, "Chloe". His second AVN best actor/film in a row. That year, Richard Pacheco's review of Libido Magazine's "Ecstatic Moments" was," I have waited more than 25 years to be able to write this review." He adds,."Ecstatic Moments" is a breakthrough in adult entertainment history: a passionate, intelligent, hard-core alternative to the eighth-grade misogyny that has dominated the sex film industry since the days of the
plain brown wrapper. A victory for sexual common sense, the video should be celebrated by both men and women as a significant attempt to put the "adult" into adult film, where angry and arrested male sexual development has ruled." And that,". I was genuinely surprised at what a talented actor James Bonn is. He and Shanna McCullough both turn in outstanding performances.."
