There's been nothing quite like this movie, ever: a futuristic thriller, loaded not only with what makes adult films great - intense sex - but all the elements that enliven action movies as well - fights, guns, stunts, chases, along with a compelling story and characters.
At nearly five-hours, it is involving and entertaining - in itself a remarkable achievement. The acting, by the three leads and a large supporting cast, is excellent, as are the special effects and photography. Director/co-screenwriter Eli Cross proves he belongs in the top ranks of adult directors.
In "the near future" two federal agents (Eva Angelina, Derrick Pierce) go on the trail of a deadly computer virus which could wreak havoc on the world. They have to battle demons of their own as well as an array of antagonists, starting with a wily "avatar" or elite hacker (Hillary Scott).
The story is galvanized by the sex. This is one of the few plot-driven pornos where, for the most part, the sex scenes (12 in all) propel the action forward instead of stopping it dead in its tracks.
From the first scene - an explosive three-way with Angelina, Sandra Romain and Evan Stone - to the last - a frenzied 17-fucker orgy in Hell - the sex is searing. Scott has a particularly volcanic scene with James Deen and runs the d.p. gamut in a five-man gangbang.
The movie's available in an uncensored director's cut and a regular version without some of the rougher sex elements, including some fisting. Four discs, two of them crammed with extras.
