No director as prolific as Patrick Dennis can store a winner with every title. And this second entry in the sports series is well below par from the team that gave us the highly-charged Rites of Spring and the incomparable Davey and the Cruisers. It's not a matter of inferior technical quality, poor camerawork, murky sound or unsatisfying sexual action. It's a matter of script and pacing.

For the first time, Dennis fails to create dialogue that unifies his episodes, and for the first time, the sex scenes themselves are overlong, as if the reduction in number from five to four required a bit of stretching to meet the standard feature length. Hot actors and high technical qualities make it a worthwhile sexvid, but Dennis fans may be a bit disappointed. Sultry, steamy packaging helps on the retail end.
