Reviews

Jerry Douglas, in his very unique way, has once again proven that a plot never has to get in the way of great sex.  Luckily, Dream Team is no exception.  What Douglas has accomplished in this release is nothing short of amazing.  Utilizing seven hunky main characters and a very complex screenplay that has the action jumping from 1957-1962 in the blink of an eye, Douglas manages to create a very truthful and poignant film that still gives viewers what they ultimately want most: Great sex.

Dream Team follows the story of a 1957 high school basketball team who, after an 11-year losing streak, finally wins a game.  The video begin five years later (1962) when they each receive their invitations to the reunion.  The adorable Chase, an openly gay television actor, attends with the hopes of rekindling a relationship with his best friend Aaron Lawrence, a confused reverend.

Jump back to 1957, where Chase and Scott Lyons (his "straight" high school drinking buddy) are experimenting with each other in the back of a pick-up truck.  The mutual seduction is quite realistic as they are both nervous in the beginning, but much to their own surprise, really get into the dick-sucking.  The scene then fast-forwards to 1962, where the two finally close the deal with Lyons plowing Chase's cute little ass on top of a car.  Kurt Young, another team member, is frustrated with his current status in life, screwing practically anything with a hole.  In the next scene, we find him hanging out with teammate Tony Donovan.  Donovan is a husband and father stuck in the small town, his only outlet being his basement room, which is plastered wall-to-wall with photos of nude women.  Yet, he has a serious crush on Young.  Back in 1957, the two service each other through a glory hole Donovan has crafted in his room.  Young cums and runs, so Donovan is forced to bring himself to climax by sticking his dick in a photo of Young with his mouth cut out covering another glory hole.  One of the best scenes in the video takes place in 1962, when Donovan decides to turn the tables on Young.  Back in the basement the two decide to have another go, but this time blindfolded.  They suck each other and suddenly, Donovan forces his 13-inch monster cock up Young's ass.  The semi-rape scene is very electrifying because it represents both of their frustrations with their pathetic lives, especially Donovan's.

Team members Kristian Brooks and Lucas James are secret high school lovers.  One night, they invite Lawrence over to teach him how to dance.  However, what they end up teaching the shy, awkward, future reverend is how to fuck.  Douglas uses some dynamic imagery in this outstanding scene: A '50's stag film plays on the guys' chests before the three go into a great daisy-chain fuck, with each of them taking turns being in the middle.

Back in '57, frustrated Coach Preston Richie licks the seven players in the locker room, instructing them to "get it together."  An incredible seven-man circle jerk ensues, along with some pretty hot kissing action.  That must have been the inspiration they needed to win their one unexpected victory.

The last scene finally brings together the two best friends, Chase and Lawrence, who admit their true feelings for one another.  They make sweet love in their old locker room.  Who said porn can't have perfect Hollywood endings?

Douglas should truly be commended for this gem.  He may take years to make a movie, but they are always well worth the wait.  Without question he should be a major contender in the Best Director and Best Screenplay categories.  Andrew Rosen's flawless editing lands him a Best Editing pre-nom.  Kurt Young, Tony Donovan and Aaron Lawrence should all be considered for Best Supporting Actor.
