Falcon Studios/Raging Stallion Acquire Studio 2000 Assets

SAN FRANCISCO—AEBN, parent company of Falcon Studios and Raging Stallion Studios, has announced that, effective immediately, it has acquired the assets of Studio 2000. The purchase brings another 178 titles to the growing library of gay adult videos owned by the company.

“The Studio 2000 library holds some very significant titles, including Dream Team which won the GayVN Best Picture award in 1999,” said Falcon/Raging Stallion president Chris Ward. “Studio 2000 was founded by John Travis and Scott Masters, two of the greatest names in porn history. The catalog of titles contains many fine films, and we are thrilled to add them to our library. Our online and DVD customers will enjoy these excellent films.”

Masters and Travis founded Studio 2000 with the goal of delivering the same high-quality, high-value productions they had pioneered for other studios. Masters first founded Nova Studios, where he produced and directed a series of best-selling films. He later worked for Catalina as the industry’s first full-time producer, focusing his talents behind the scenes on model and title development. Multiple AVN award-winning director Travis has directed scores of movies, first at Brentwood, and later for Matt Sterling, Falcon and others.

No final decision has been made about continuing the production of new films under the Studio 2000 brand. A notice on the Studio 2000 website reads, “Studio 2000 has gone out of business. Our catalogue of titles will be available later this year from a new web site. Stay tuned for details. We thank your for your patronage these last 18 years.”

DVDs will be made available through the Falcon and Raging Stallion websites. Wholesale enquiries should be directed to Paladin Video in Las Vegas.
