COLT Man, Mitch Branson's talent goes beyond his sexual performances on screen. "Groove Compass," with high-energy tracks such as "Passion's Thunder" and "Unheard Messages," probably will get played in gay dance clubs, but the CD contains a mix of music perfect for playing in the background at a party, while driving, during an orgy, or in your store. It's a sensual blend of sounds from around the world, including two tracks that feature female vocalists (Jax and Monique) but aren't obviously built around the vocals. This disc will appeal to a wide audience, from gay men to couples looking for a soundtrack for a night of passion. You're sure to see sales skyrocket if you set up a listening station for customers to listen to the CD for themselves before purchasing. My favorite track, "Unexpected Homies," darkly melds electronica with hip-hop and dark synth, with an erotic result. I usually am not a fan of this type of music, but I was more than pleasantly surprised and have found myself listening to "Groove Compass" over and over. The only complaint consumers might have is that they want the tracks to go on longer.
