VALENCIA, Calif.—Nominees for the 2023 AVN Awards were recently announced, and all-female adult film studio Girlfriends Films was honored with nominations in several categories. The categories include Best All-Female Movie or Limited Series, Best All-Female Series or Channel, Best Female/Female Sex Scene, Best All-Female Group Sex Scene, Best Female Mixed-Age Movie or Limited Series, Best MILF/Female Mixed-Age Series or Channel, and Best Star Showcase.
Receiving a nomination for Best All-Female Movie or Limited Series is Cheer Squad Sleepovers 37, starring Ava Sinclaire, Harlow West, Jazmin Luv, Gracie Gates, Leana Lovings, and Girlfriends Films 2021 contract star Aubree Valentine in three scenes.
Two of Girlfriends Films' new original features were nominated for Best Female Mixed-Age Movie or Limited Series. The first one is B. Skow’s Lesbian Teachers Club starring Lexi Luna, Octavia Red, Jasmine Jae, Sera Ryder, Pristine Edge, Bess Breast, and Crystal Rush. The second one is Lesbian House Moms, also directed by B. Skow and starring Rachael Cavalli, Eva Long, XxLayna Marie, Reagan Foxx, Adalind Gray, Luna, Gates, and Girlfriends 2022 contract star Lacy Lennon.
Lennon expressed her gratitude and offered insight on her role in the film saying, "I am eternally grateful for the recognition that B. Skow, Girlfriends Films, and Moose have given me—along with putting me in the nominated film, Lesbian House Moms. This was another scorcher where I was graciously paired with Rachael Cavalli, a legend in this industry who took my body into multiple uncontrollable orgasms with just a few flicks of her tongue. Girlfriends Films is a consistent company that does care for its wide range of supporters. Thank you, everyone, for everything."
Two of Girlfriends Films’ all-girl sagas were named among the list of nominees for Best All-Female Series or Channel, Bad Lesbian, and the studio’s flagship series Women Seeking Women. Also, in the Best MILF/Female Mixed-Age Series or Channel category, two series earned a nod for B. Skow’s Lesbian Step-Daughters, and Lesbian Seductions Older/Younger with volumes directed by Skow and Lennon.
Lennon, who directed and starred in Lesbian Seductions 75 commented, "I’m really honored I was able to be a part of such a phenomenal DVD series. Kayla, Nickey, Ashley, Penelope, Jessica, and Jasmine—Thank you all for being an inspiration for me, giving me real passion, and having the best vibes on set. Earning a nomination for Best Star Showcase is Please Make Me Lesbian 22: Seduced by Serene starring Girlfriends 2021 contract star Serene Siren in four scenes with cast-mates Emily Addison, Kendra James, Victoria Lobov, and McKenzie Lee.
Said Siren, "I am absolutely honored to be nominated as Female/Female Specialty Performer of the Year for AVN, and for my star showcase to have garnered such great attention. Joining Siren among the list of nominees for Female/Female Specialty Performer of the Year are Girlfriends veteran performers Long, Madi Meadows, Charlotte Stokely, and James. Recognized with nominations for MILF Performer of the Year are Lesbian House Moms cast members Cavalli, Foxx, and Luna, and Lesbian Seductions series performers London River, Rush, Jessica Ryan, and Dee Williams.
Nominated for Best Female/Female Sex Scene are newcomers Kay Lovely and Braylin Bailey for their performance in Lesbian Sex 26. Additionally, both actresses are nominees for Best New Starlet, along with Lovings (Cheer Squad Sleepovers 37) and Marie (Lesbian House Moms). Receiving a nomination for Best All-Female Group Sex Scene are Charlotte Sins, Marilyn Johnson, and Nicole Aria for their threesome in Lesbian Triangles 38.
