Reviews

Far and away the best installment yet in Digital Playground's series of porn staple-celebrating epics, Nurses is the veritable epitome of what most could possibly want out of a fuck flick.

For starters, there's a litany of the very top names in adult — male and female — present and accounted for here. That includes (of course) each and every current DP contract girl, which means it includes AVN Best New Starlet Stoya. Then there's AVN Female Performer of the Year Jenna Haze, AVN Male Performer of the Year James Deen, industry phenom Sasha Grey and ... well, you can go on through the cast list yourself. They all prove their worth in spades, delivering one smoldering sex scene after another, eight in all, hitting an array of bases from your prototypical one-on-ones to a reverse gangbang.

Like predecessors Babysitters and Cheerleaders, Nurses bears the markings of a feature — interweaving characters, cinematic dolly shots, ornate art direction — but doesn't get bogged down by too much dialogue or story structure. And what there is of those things scores high on the entertainment bar.

The best bit is a recurring one with Erik Everhard (as "Mr. Everstein") involving him conning various nurses into giving him extended views (or feels) of their lady parts. In the end, a cavalry of them — Jesse Jane, Katsuni, Stoya, Shay Jordan and Riley Steel — gang up on him for a blowout group scene.

There are also a number of superb threeways, mostly of the girl/girl/boy variety (just the way we likes 'em). The one exception is Grey's double-teaming by Tony T. and Mr. Pete.

If there's one scene, though, that most promises to be viewed many, many times over (other than that group finale), it's Stoya's bout with Deen. These two have chemistry to spare, and she simply blows the roof off with her high-pitched gusto.

Other big highlights are Haze's (literal) bonding with Evan Stone over their mutual love of cramming things in their asses, and the get-well-soon boffing given Scott Nails by Gariella Fox and Shawna Lenee.

One odd inconsistency: characters keep talking about "Dr. Sins" (Johnny Sins), and we even see him once or twice, but then he doesn't ever really join the proceedings in any way. It's as if there was supposed to be a joke surrounding him whose punch line got left on the cutting room hard drive, or (though not terribly likely) a sex scene in which he engaged went missing.

That's a very small complaint for such an otherwise exemplary production, though, and you can be sure this puppy will be maintaining a comfy spot high atop bestseller retail displays a long, long time.
