A noirish drama about a husband and wife (Leslie and Money) going through marital unrest. For example, in the midst of their highly erotic opening tryst, Leslie suddenly pulls away while servicing her orally, resulting in an icy morning-after argument about the short shrift she's been getting in the climax department.
Anna Obsessed is well acted and directed, and gets increasingly steamy as Money begins a lesbian affair with Haven. The "twist" ending is very unlikely to surprise anybody, and this transfer, unfortunately, is somewhat less than superb, with perpetual feedback on the soundtrack and zero extras to offer.
But as classic releases go, it still stands out.
Pre-nom for Best Classic Release.
Retailing: The twin billing of Money and Haven will seal it.
