Reviews

In the bondage and fetish pinup era of the '40s and '50s, Irving Klaw was one of the genre masters. His black-and-white photos of tightly bound women in post-war lingerie were inspiration for many of today's fetishists and fetish artists.

Greta Von Scorn and Harmony give a nice tribute to Klaw, using his stills as inspiration for live scenes. Overall, they do a good job, recreating the scenes in nice detail: The models have got great pinup looks, and the bondage, as usual for Harmony, is well done. Unfortunately, the live action doesn't match the artistry of Klaw's stills, mainly because Harmony's familiar (and boring) sets don't match the living rooms and basements of Klaw's genteel '50s suburban settings, the b&w shadows and the expressions of his models.

A nice try, but they would do better to just acknowledge Klaw as inspiration rather than ask for a direct comparison.
