DJ Wankus assembles five-girl teams representing five prolific production companies to compete in events such as the "Tug-of-Whore" and "Bitch Fight" (which should be a series in itself.) There are moments of competitive animosity (watch Gauge) and a heartwarming communal aspect amongst the underdogs (Coach Skeeter's team).
Host Mike Quasar adeptly tosses off his trademark sardonic quips, "When Gen's not competing, she enjoys recreational drugs and chinchilla breeding," while co-host, the legendary Ginger Lynn ponders the scene with bewilderment.
The stroke-value is absent (save for "Bitch Fight"!) but it's the most genuine inside-glimpse of a controversial industry at play. You won't find revealing moments like this in any documentary, network expose or Hollywoodization. Really compelling if you have a favorite porn star (this reviewer was rooting for Ariana Jollee, Selena Silver, Olivia O'Lovely, to name a few.) Make sure you peruse the (oft-neglected) still galleries.
Fresh concept-smut garners itself a pre-nom for Best Marking Campaign and Best Alternative Release.
