Burlesque is back in style these days, and there's a great reason for it. Long, luscious teasing gets to the root of what makes men's minds go all fuzzy when a beautiful woman walks through the door. So, it's no wonder that porn has gotten in on the act, getting back to the source to validate the trend. It's a fantastic idea.
Unfortunately, it's not so great. Although watching Ron Jeremy do standup is one of life's great unintentional joys, there's a sense that this is the blueprint for something really great, and, for that reason only, it deserves a view. Next time, however, if more attention is paid to the production and the quality of the entertainment therein, it should be a no-brainer for some sort of award.
For now, we're going to have to content ourselves with this very admirable, however average, attempt. Kudos to Starr Productions for thinking outside the box.
