Shane is back. Any questions?

Reviews

Shane makes her long-awaited return with this relatively fun, mostly girl/girl offering that has its pluses and minuses but shows promise as a return to the gonzo queen's wild and adventurous days of old.

First the minuses: The picture throughout the production is either overexposed or too dimly lit. On the latter side, the closing scene is so dark, one can barely make out the performers, much less what they're doing to one another. Shane, who does most if not all of the camerawork (no credits are given other than for the cast), ought to study up on shooting in natural light.

Another problematic element is the "Remote Girl" segment, in which Shane supposedly sends Holly Hollywood out with an ear piece through which she can receive instructions from Shane on picking up a random guy and blowing him. There's cross cutting between the two of them during the scene, with Hollywood even holding a finger to her ear as if she's actually hearing something, but the whole thing comes off as complete baloney.

Now on to the pluses: There is a sense of fun and frolicking here that heralds back to the original Shane's World titles, AND there's something we've never seen before - an underwater camera that captures some action between Kimberly Kane and Dominca Leoni, both above and below the waterline, split-screen style (they're on the pool's steps). Pretty cool.
