Reviews

Alice In Wonderland is a cult favorite for several reasons, not the least of which being that its gorgeous star, Kristine DeBell, went on to several mainstream movie and TV projects, including Ivan Reitman's Meatballs, with Bill Murray. Another is that director William Osco also directed the well-received Flesh Gordon - which, like Alice, has also been released in everything from R to XXX versions. (This version is the latter.)

DeBell's Alice is a shy librarian who won't even kiss boyfriend Ron Nelson - but after she follows white-rabbit-costumed Jerry Spelman through some sort of twinkly space warp, weird things happen, many of which, aside from the singing and dancing, involve Kristine getting naked and watching or being involved in sex.

There's long been controversy as to whether the hardcore part of the fucking in Kristine's scenes actually involved her or a pussy double, and the fact that all of that hardcore is shot in close-up suggests the latter. There's no doubt, however, that it's Kristine who massages her own pussy while sitting on a sentient rock, nor that she's the one sucking "Mad Hatter" Alan Novak's cock, so viewers won't be disappointed on that score.

They also won't be disappointed to see early porn star Terri Hall in several roles here, including that of Humpty Dumpty's nurse, plus there's a nice girl/girl scene between her and Nancy Dare. They'll also get off watching Bree Anthony and Tony Blue as a delightfully sexy Tweedledee and Tweedledum, plus the orgy finale featuring Queen of Hearts Juliet Graham and several courtiers getting it on.

Considering the likely difficulty in finding an intact master of this 1975 film, Arrow has done an excellent job of obtaining decently watchable footage, which, judging by relative graininess, has come from a couple of different sources. But when all is said and done, choice of viewing comes down to Kristine DeBell - and for our money, she's easily worth the price of admission.
