Mistress Julie ties and gags the leather-clad babes who whimper incessantly, enduring their "torture," as Jack Banner does the camera and occasionally barks orders. The damsel in distress theme is effective, etching out an ambience of suspense. The cinematic sweep of the soundtrack, which is very overbearing at times, conjures more of a serial-kidnapper suspense thriller mood, which is, to say the least, inappropriate.
Jack, himself shows up in the Jewell Marceau scene, administering abuse with a switch. As dynamic a performer as Jewell is, she carries on the trend of whining ad-nausea. Cue creepy music and dissolve to another angst-ridden leather bound cutie protesting to the nth degree.
Repetitive and overly ambitious, this might have worked better as an all-out underground art-flick. But, as smut, even on the level of B&D, this misses by a gaping margin. Still, Miss Julie knows how to tie a helluva knot!
