Its basic premise may be pilfered from Weekend at Bernie's, but Jenna's Harem handily trumps that lame-o '80s hit in the humor department. Written and directed by reliable wit-smith Cash Markman, this take-off features Ron Jeremy as the dead guy ("Ronnie," he's called), whose stable of live-in sex vixens find themselves at a loss for what to do when they discover him collapsed in a heap of kaput in front of the open refrigerator.

Working off an "idea" they credit to Jenna (Haze, that is) - who delivers the best line of the movie when she exclaims to the camera, "I did not have an idea! I try to never have ideas!" - they decide to put Ronnie on ice and go on living as if nothing had happened to him. Which basically consists of them having lots of yummy girl sex with each other.

This is a completely A-list cast, and not only do the sex scenes all deliver, but Markman has managed to get pitch-perfect line readings out of just about every girl. Haze in particular shines, however, proving that she's got comedic chops to match her rug-munching skills (though whether she's aware of 'em, we really don't know). Pre-nom her for Best Actress - Video, Markman for Best Screenplay - Video, and the vid for both Sex Comedy and All-Girl Feature. (Oh, and if you think the feature's funny, wait'll you see Markman's featurette about himself on the DVD ... an absolute riot).
