Reviews

Being one of the few adult companies that can claim any actual classics reside in its archives, VGA has been very smart in picking and choosing which titles to release on the VGA Classics DVD label. Each of these are pretty decent productions, starring performers who have a solid core of fans who are always ready to pick up quality older product.

Both sport gorgeous transfers with crisp detail, deep blacks (particularly relevant to the contrasty Masque) and accurate colors. Each transfer suffers from very slight moire, keeping the quality from a perfect rating. Sirens does suffer a bit due to the poor quality of the source video, but that isn't the fault of the transfer.

Both discs are in two-channel Dolby digital, which does little to help S/rens (shot in the early '90s), but which brightens Masque's audio considerably.

Each DVD has a live-play stills gallery and interactive cast bios which let the viewer jump straight into featured scenes. Sirens, strangely, has far fewer chapter stops than we're used to seeing on a VCA disc.
