Writer/director Jace Rocker's A Little Piece of My Heart is a smartly-scripted comedy with good production values and fine performances from Tom Byron, Stacy Valentine, and Jonathan Morgan. Sexual highlights include an outdoor b/g with Byron and Alyssa Love, and an enthusiastic g/g with Valentine and Davia Ardell. Excellent ensemble acting, top-notch production and a first-rate love story distinguish director Paul Thomas' 1993 film feature Things Change: Letting Go. the sequel to Things Change: My First Time. Here, Nikki Dial explores her burgeoning bisexuality with the likes of Diedre Holland, Kym Wilde, Steve Drake and Jon Dough. Few adult features shot in the '90s are as well-crafted and satisfying. As we've come to expect from Metro, both DVDs include a handful of chapter stops (with a full-motion menu), a slide show, brief bios of their respective casts, all-region coding, copy protection, and previews of other Metro DVDs (found on side B of Things Change).
RETAILERS TAKE NOTE: Things Change boasts one of the better film-to-DVD transfers we've seen, but the audio mix on the disc is skewed horribly in favor of the music. As a result, dialogue is often difficult to discern. A new pressing of the disc would be the best solution, but that isn't likely to happen any time soon; playback through a multi-band equalizer or a surround sound system with the mid-range/center channel levels boosted may help to solve the problem. This film deserves better!
