Since the phrase "There's nothing like a Wave girl" hasn't made it into common parlance yet, the (unavoidable) opening featurette for the first Wave DVD, Plaything, simply has an attractive collage of sexual footage featuring Asia Carrera, Nikki Tyler, Celeste and Melissa Hill. Not too shabby!

Once that's finished (and we're no about to say you won't want to watch it a few more times, 'cause you probably will), Plaything's main menu presents itself. You can choose to watch the feature, see bios (a primitive rendition compared to the same feature on the Vivid DVDs we've seen so far) of such stars as Celeste, Hill, Carrera, Tyler, Dyanna Lauren, Heather Hunter, Jenteal and Jenna Jameson; preview other DVDs' find out about Wave's Web site, described by nude cuties you probably haven't seen elsewhere; or play Int.Tel.Sex games.

The feature, which we reviewed in February of '96, stars Nikki Tyler, Nina Hartley, Patricia Kennedy and Jessica James in a potpourri of sexual hijinks, with seven chapter accessible through the press of an animated button… but stay tuned following the end credits for outtake footage that's sure to evoke a laugh or two.

The image and sound qualities are excellent; a good stocker for any store's beginning adult DVD section.
