What more can we say about The Sex Show than we said in our original review of the videotape back in October '96? Of course, it was titled The Show then, and garnered several AVN awards, but owners of this DVD will get to see several minutes of "alternate" footage that isn't in the original video release.

Unfortunately, not all the sex scenes have multiple views of the action, and in some cases, the "alternate" is barely different from the original - not too surprising, considering that when the feature was shot, DVD was barely a twinkle in manufacturers' eyes.

The image quality here is excellent, significantly better than videotape, and the audio track is crisp and relatively free from imperfections. The disc also contains Vivid's standard "Meet the Girls," "Cyber Sex," "Previews" and "Web Info" sections, but something new appears to have been added to the "Int Tel Sex Game" feature: Instead of stripped down version of Vivid's CD-ROM games, clicking on the "wall hangings" in this virtual room now delivers a short sex scene featuring the girl pictured with the game logo. A real improvement, in our book.

If you stock DVDs and remember The Show as fondly as we did at our awards show 13 months ago, you'll definitely want to order some copies of The Sex Show.
