Remember when drive-ins were "in" and those schlocky triple features changed every week? A staple of this era was the "women-behind-bars" melodramas like Caged Heat. Director Henri Pachard barely resurrects this genre with Jailhouse Girls.
Poor, innocent, cute Ginger Lynn is wrongly accused of prostitution and gets thrown in the slammer. Once there, she whittles away the time with foul-mouthed Kelly Nichols (going through the motions and nothing more) and a warden with his own ideas on prison reform.
And that is the show. Aside from those who might enjoy watching a handcuffed Ginger Lynn perform in a paddy wagon, there's not much to recommend in this downbeat production. One scene, however, featuring Ginger and the ravishing black-haired Raven (AAAA) is a super-charged excursion in hot and happening lesbian sex. Yet throughout Jailhouse Girls, one question kept running through my mind: "When are these girls out on parole?"
