Lots of good-time sex, a believable and well-written plot, and high-quality production values make Candy Stripers II a top-notch adult film suitable for all adult viewers, despite the fact that it's a good deal different from its classic predecessor.
When a top-secret military experiment is knocked over by an overly zealous Dr. Waldo Fine (Michael Gaunt) and Nurse Kelly Martin (Taija Rae), a strange odorless gas is sucked into the airshafts and spreads throughout Northwest General Hospital. Soon after, staff and patients are entwined in a multitude of unexplainable sexual pairings that are later explained when the good doctor reveals the project was actually a potent aphrodisiac and not a military chemical weapon.
The hospital proves a kinky setting for sex, and Michael Evans' screenplay provides plenty of laughs: from the hypochondriac (Ashley Moore) who is cured by doses of Candy Stripers (Karen Summer and Kathlyn Moore) every four hours, to the newlyweds (Sheri St. Clair and Adam Oren Ladd) who spend their wedding night in the hospital with different partner, to the husband and wife doctor team (Ron Jeremy and Colleen Brennan) whose failing marriage is rejuvenated by the "head" nurse (Auroura) and the mysterious gas.
Jeremy and Brennan turn in excellent performances, both sexual and theatrical, and Summer's rendition of a "valley girl" candy striper is well done. The entire cast performs professionally, as does Larry Revene, whose direction enhances the acting, the sex and the story. This film is well worth the time and money as a rental, and is recommended highly as an addition to your adult film collection.
