Any adult sexvid where the titular character only appears in three scenes (with only two people) already has a strike against it. Add to this a staggeringly mediocre plot, barely salvaged by its supporting actors, and you get Rambone Does Hollywood.
Erotica's newest "superstud" (listed variously as measuring in from 14" to 16") plays a naive country boy named Jethro, (no doubt a homage to Rambone's inspiration for his acting, "Beverly Hillbillies" star Max Baer). Jethro comes to L.A. to visit cousin Tracy Dione, proprietress of an "escort service," and before you can say "Wall, shuck ma corn," Jethro is using his "talent" on his kissin' cousin and is hired out.
It does, however, look at times as though Rambone has trouble performing, almost as much trouble as he has in maintaining a rural accent. This may be why he only appears twice with Dione and once with client Buffy Davis.
When video has to do without its star for a large chunk of time, you hope that the "minor roles" can carry the show, and to Rambone's credit, they almost do. Bunny Blake shines as Dione's main girl (maybe her only, for all we know), but the best encounter in the film is a "kitchen klatsch" between servants Herschel Savage and Kristara Barrington (yes, despite the artwork sent with the film, Barrington and Rambone never meet . . . kinda like Eddie Murphy and Dudley Moore in Best Defense). It's a shame they didn't make "Herschel and Kristara: Sex Servants," because this is one "bone" that shouldn't be picked.
