"Please touch that dial!" urges the promo for Bare Waves, a shot-on-video feature that is supposed to look at the "hottest, horniest radio talkshow to ever burn up the airwaves!" Puh-lease, gimme a break.
Mike Horner as talk show host Regis Tooley is the only person who seems to be 100% awake in this production, but he can't carry the entire show himself. A three-way lesbian scene between Nikki Charm, Debra Areola and Jeannie Pepper lacks any excitement, and Jesse Adams performs coolly and automatically with Summer Rose and Gayle Sterling. Almost all of the sex scenes are flat, with little enthusiasm to be found. Even the scene between Travis and a hot wench in which Travis ejaculates twice within a minute (no trick photography here) falls short of exciting, though not within the boundaries of the rest of the video displays.
The camera angles, voice-over dubs, editing, gynecological close-ups . . . none are representative of Wet Video's usual fare.
I'll listen to Dr. Ruth rather than Bare Waves any day.
