I think Innocent Taboo exemplifies where the adult film and video industry is heading. We will continue to see sex stories about real people who have sex in realistic situations for many of the right reasons. You can always expound with fantasies, but realism is "in."
Innocent Taboo, which Vidco's marketing department figures is a title that will sell tapes although it has little to do with the on-screen action, is another one of those family films where the college-aged kids look older than the parents. Two neighboring families (related through the two wives) vacation together and come across Billy Dee, a descendent of witchcraft who puts an ancient sex potion in everyone's coffee. Obviously, everybody goes sex crazy.
But husband Eric Edwards sticks with wife Colleen Brennan, and husband Herschel Savage stays with wife Keisha, and it's all pretty erotic. Of course, some of the cousins do it with each other, and Keisha and Brennan perform a realistic, big-breasted lesbian scene that is soft and sweet. But that love potion sure makes normal people do some weird things.
The settings (a sun roof, the beach, etc.) make for a varied sex film, and director Scotty Fox stays away from graphic close-ups for more than a few seconds at a time. The performances are all energetic, as Keisha and Porsche Lynn make further inroads to becoming bona fide stars. Innocent Taboo makes for nice, sensual couples viewing.
