Ever try to imagine the perfect XXX spoof? It would have to closely follow a recognizable movie storyline, be fun to watch, have fairly good acting and, most of all, have great sex. Well, Down and Dirty in Beverly Hills fulfills all these expectations and more. It's a steamy, scandalous, sex-filled look at how one Beverly Hills family's life is changed when they take in a bag lady.
From the opening scenes between the lady of the house and her gardener (Colleen Brennan and Buck Adams), and sonny-boy and the maid (Tony Martino and Vanessa D'Oro) we know we're in for a treat. Brennan camps it up admirably, howling at every opportunity in her encounter with Adams. When they're finished, she walks to the window to tell him her plant problems, but spies a bag lady (Porsche Lynn) leaning over her daugher (Summer Rose) who's so smashed, she's passed out. "There's an animal on my daughter! Call 911! Call 911!" From this point on, we know we're on target.
The storyline follows the original Hollywood film very closely, but these producers remember why they're here . . . sex! Down and Dirty in Beverly Hills has a lot of erotica, with just enough plot to hold it together. Since most of us know the story, that's fine. All of the players here generate plenty of heat, but any of the scenes with either Brennan or D'Oro are especially good. D'Oro is one of the freshest faces I've seen in a while: she's cute, has a phenomenal body, likes to do it, and can act as well. Brennan also proves her acting and comedic talents here. Her timing is right on the mark, and she appears to enjoy every bit of nookie she can get! All of her scenes, sexual or not, are a pleasure to watch. I even like Herschel Savage in this one. When Lynn demonstrates her oral abilities and he replies "I haven't been hard since 1982 ... I feel like a man again!," you can't help but laugh.
Technically, for a shot-on-video, Down and Dirty in Beverly Hills is pretty good. But overall, the quality of the acting, the heat and the enjoyable situations make this one great feature you'll be down and out over if you pass it up.
