Four women sit around reminiscing about sexual experiences, that, for no particular reason, center around black men. The women consider this a special treat as they eagerly confirm every black cliché and stereotype ever invented. But, no problem—for the purposes of this practically non-existent story, every stereotype is perfectly embodied by these black studs, and the occasional white guy doesn't do too bad either.
With women the quality of Amber Lynn and Nikki Randall around, you have to expect some things worth looking at, and there are, whether you get off on black male/ white female combos or not. But nothing here ever really smokes. The plot is paper-thin with sex-scene flashbacks held together by draggy gutter talk that makes these women sound as bad as the men usually do when they make beery guy talk.
Technical credits are okay, with some decent editing as parallel sex scenes are frequently intercut. But the overall effect is just a sort of neutral bland blending of bodies. Integrated sex may seem provocative enough to hang a feature on all by itself, but a plot with some meat to it, and maybe a little humor, would go a long way to make this a little livelier and less like a documentary on race relations.
A Taste Of Black is just a taste of what a really good integrated feature could be.
