I think this script was inspired by The Color of Money, at least just long enough for someone to haul in a pool table. The microscopic plot has Nina Hartley as a nurse who uses the hospital rec room as a private pool hall and public sex center. There's an abundance of leering references to sticks, balls and pockets, as Nina spends about two minutes of plot defending her pool hall from a nasty doctor who doesn't dig green felt. Jack Baker is constantly appearing to do his tiresome Stepin Fetchit routine, as a black orderly who sees all and knows all and never stops talking about it.
Still, we have to appreciate humor in a video script, even if it mostly misses the mark. And there's plenty of sex here that's right on target. Nina and Siobhan Hunter both look fabulous and their zesty shower scene together is beautifully photographed, as is much of the tape. A note of special interest for boob fans everywhere is the debut of the aptly named Betty Boobs, who looks like the quintessential lewd truck-stop waitress no matter what she wears or takes off. She's a vulgar delight and her low-key Mae West acting style isn't bad either.
Billy Dee appears as Fast Eddie, the world's greatest pool hustler, and there is actually some pool-playing footage, but I don't think Minnesota Fats has anything to worry about. Technical credits are decent all around, but the overall pacing is a bit slow. And despite some well-meaning stabs at humor, the dialogue meanders, marking time between sex scenes. Still, if you're not particular about your storyline, you might find A Little Bit O' Honey a little bit sweet.
