A married couple lie in bed, winding down a long day. They look to one another, and you feel the apathy. Finally he leaves the bed to shower, and all she can do is sigh and turn out the light. But the little play is not over, for as he showers he expresses her fantasy of her lover joining her in their bed, and she fulfills the fantasy. It seems that they have the company of old school chums in their home, and they are going through the same problems. In their case it is the wife who leaves the bed and in her meanderings she observes, with horror, the goings on in the other bedroom, and so commences the story of Both Ends Burning.

The following day Sharon Mitchell, the observer, confronts Amber Lynn, the doer, and the ensuing fight ends with Mitchell leaving the house, and to all intents and purposes, her marriage. But, unknown to Mitchell this was not a case of marital infidelity, but instead an indication of Lynn and Buddy Love's happy marriage. And now Jerry Butler, Mitchell's husband, is introduced to a new and completely different lifestyle.

Director Adele Robinson has chosen to show a viewpoint that everyone will not agree with. But in doing so, she has used a small but highly talented cast to express her point. The sex is well choreographed and photographed with care, and edited to perfection. It is most definitely a couples video.
