Dear AVN Editor:
My Video Critique 101 professor, Dr. Acetate, told me that a “good critic always finds something wrong with a movie. The great critic can pan the best films ever made. But something is always wrong with any film.” I can only conclude, then, that I’m a very bad critic, because I could find nothing wrong with Pretty Peaches 2. And I watched it three times.
Siobhan Hunter is Peaches, and she plays the part perfectly, delivering just the right sense of wide-eyed innocence with the smoldering need to lose her virginity. Leaving home and mom and dad (Tracey Adams and Herschel Savage), and boyfriend Bobby (Peter North). Peaches heads to sexual San Francisco. Along the way she eagerly watches a hooker (Janette Littledove) earn $40 the fun way from Buck Adams. Peaches drops in on her uncle (Ron Jeremy) and his wife and son for a scene that is wonderfully hysterical. The comedic timing and delivery are superb and it easily segues into a familial threeway while Peaches moves on to other things. Like Jamie Gillis in drag as little Ol’ Granny. Then…
There are no technical flaws that I noticed. Lighting, sound, editing, camerawork, score, acting, even costuming are all top notch. That’s why I’m giving it a four-A rating. I think it’s one of the best adult films I’ve seen in a long time.
Now to be certain Dr. Acetate doesn’t revoke my diploma, I will say that I’m not fond of the pattern on the bedspreads in the motel. But, just to be sure, I plan to watch Pretty Peaches 2 a fourth time, and more if I feel so inclined. Even if I find nothing wrong, it is raucous, rollicking, rousing and arousing fun.
