Reviews

At first, I was inclined to credit the success of this video to the director, but in actuality, the backbone of any good piece starts with the script. As penned by Neal Wexler, Triangle is a triumph.

It's pure soap opera, but far from maudlin. Robert Bullock plays the wandering, carefree older brother of John Dough, who's about to be married to Hyapatia Lee. Dough is verbally abused by his father (Nick Random) and very unsure of getting tied down before he has a chance to sow his oats as his older sibling did.

Dad is a complete jerk, so we feel no sympathy when his girlfriend, Sharon Kane, admits to exploiting him ruthlessly. When Bullock returns home for the wedding, all hell breaks loose. Kane seduces him, Dough argues with Lee and splits the premises in search of easy tail, and Hyapatia seeks comfort with her friend Barbara Dare. This leads to one of the first honestly motivated lesbian encounters in adult history.

Paul Thomas pulls it off without a hitch. His camera set-ups favor the believable performances, most shocking of which comes from John Dough, whom I formerly held a low opinion due to his total lack of commitment in previous outings.

Hyapatia Lee and Barbara Dare are exceptional. It's a lovely switch to see them sans make-up -- they look even better!  They also seem to dig each other and it really helps their roles.

This story is supposed to be continued, and I can't wait until the next installment. That's what good soaps are all about. nice packaging rounds it all out.
