Mickey (Randy West) and Buddy (Jon Martin) are roommates. Buddy idolizes Mickey and wants to be like him: a confident lover, carefree and laughing at the world. Sounds similar to the Spinelli classic, Nothing To Hide?

Buddy lives in a dreamworld, until he realizes that you have to be yourself, and Mickey is only human, a fact powerfully detailed in a gripping scene between Martin and West. These two actors are excellent and complement one another with strong echoes of John Leslie and Richard Pacheco.

Victoria Paris is West's girlfriend, but Martin covets her to the extent that he has these intense sexual dreams about her (a great scene, by the way, with Paris looking spectacular). But the fantasies remain just that. Tianna is Randy's convenience squeeze, but there is nothing deep-seated here or anything that remotely smacks of commitment.

Martin, drawn ever deeper into the fantasy, takes up phone sex with Cheri Taylor, and there's a great Philip Marlow-style trenchcoat number between them.

The sex scenes (there are four) blend beautifully into the story. Martin/Victoria Paris blisters, but the intense buddy-worship thing is what makes this feature top notch, and the credit goes to director Spinelli. Artfully done, great for couples and Spinelli has created a show I wouldn't mind seeing developed into a series. Tianna looks cute on packaging.
