Fess up. You'd be hard pressed to answer at least 45 out of 50 pop quiz questions about the plot of Sinners. So here's your chance, along with Sharon Kane, one of the series' characters, to catch up on what's gone on.
Kane smokes entirely too much as she gets the lowdown from Finch, the detective (Ron Jeremy?). Question: why do all gumshoes in Cecil Howard features drink Heineken? Notwithstanding, Jeremy's device as the fill-in guy points to a glaring weakness here: too many flashbacks, which simply re-tells us the story about Jamie Fell's (Paul Thomas) frame up in an armed robbery. It simply doesn't hold up under the weight of three installments. The sex snippets are too familiar. On the plus side, Jeremy's delivery is as understated as he gets, and he's pretty good. If you're a Cecilphile, by all means indulge yourself by checking this out. Otherwise, don't expect to use this chapter as a crib sheet. You'll be lost in the woods. The first two are wonderful. Stores carrying those might want to round out the series.
