Where Invisible Maniac misses the boat, Sea of Dreams catches a slow one to China in terms of plot development. Actually, there's a reason for this, made abundantly clear at the tail end of the film which promises further advantages. Imagine a T & A film that needs a sequel.

A wellish to do yuppoid (Jon Rodgers) is beseiged by an onslaught of leggy women from his computer dating service. Apparently his practical joker of a brother has arranged for gals to show up every 15 minutes aboard Rodger's yacht. Something here about a bet to see if Rodgers can handle the load. Of course he can because he doesn't actually have any physical contact with the babes -- it's all implied -- but these gals are more than willing to strip naked on a dime. Trouble is, the dime seems like it's in another vending machine.

Director Nevit's style, more familiar to fans of the Playboy "Centerfold" series, tends to get a little remote and detached at times. As beautifully shot as they are, that same tendency befalls the disrobing sequences in Sea of Dreams. They're arguably generic and come across more like spotlight acts in a strip nite club. With closer kinship to teh storyline, those erotic sequences would have made for killer T & A.

Of note, this is Active's first attempt at a feature-length film (we've been telling you about the pay per view influence in recent issues) with at least six more pictures in the works. Girls of Catalina, the sequel to this film, has already been shot and we're told there's something like 40 dolls in the cast. Heart attack city. This is great news for the alternative adult market especially video stores in areas where hardcore adult tapes are verbotten.
