A variation of the 1949 film A Letter To Three Wives, Illicit Affairs uses an old standby story and a good cast to maximum effect. Forty years ago, Three Wives wondered which of their husbands have run off with an old flame, but in this reincarnation, Aja, Victoria Paris and Sharon Kane are in the dark as to which of them is having an affair with one of the other's husbands. Thus, we now have the setting for various combos of husbands, wives and lovers.
The cast cannot be faulted. Among the ladies we have an AVN Best New Starlet, and XRCO Hall of Famer, and a front runner nominee for the next starlet award, Victoria Paris. With a figure to match her enthusiasm, Victoria's pairing with Robert Bullock is the highlight of the action, with Aja's oral ministrations to Randy Spears, and Randy West/Sharon Kane working Stephanie Rage, a dead heat for second place. As happens too often, the story falters in the wake of the action, but this is a minor fault. Everything else works well, and the box is oh, so nice.
