Or, perhaps more accurately, "Born To Be Not Half-Bad." An erotic drama centering around two feuding sisters (one, the leader of a cycle gang; the other an ex-biker working as a singer in a sleazy bar), the video puts a lot of weight on .the smooth shoulders of stars Porsche Lynn and Nina Hartley. And to their credit, they manage to carry it most of the way. Most, mind you.
Both women are delightfully cast somewhat out of character, with Lynn as the comfortably settled rocker who wants to stay at home with main squeeze Tom Byron, and Hartley as her tough-as-nails sibling who's always taken everything from her, including boyfriends. When Hartley wins Byron as the "prize" in a local race, Lynn challenges her sister to win her man back. She does, but the thrill of the race has given her a taste for the open road gain, so off goes Lynn, leaving a now road-weary Hartley behind.
It's a simple tale, hinging on the fine performances of two of erotica's most capable performers. Unfortunately, what fills the spaces in between their screen appearances is mediocre at best. Supporting players like John Leslie, Sharon Mitchell and Mike Homer are not given much to do, and a majority of the sex scenes are uninspired. Born To Be Bad comes to life when the stars appear, which is enough for a modest recommendation.
