It's hard to say exactly when the actual Bond series began to run out of steam, but I can tell you for certain that the Jane Bond parody, in only its third installment, has literally "petered out." Not that they'll stop pumping them out mind you, and I'm sure you can imagine the titles as well as I can ("From Russia With Lust," "You Only Cun Twice" hey, how about a virgin villain in "Hymens Are Forever"?).

Anyway, Thunderballs could have use a little of what the actual Bond films thrive on: action. This video has no driving, no diving, no looting, no shooting, no special effects — no adventure. What we have left then, aside from a couple toy guns, is astraight-forward and competently-shot sexvid. This is fine if the sex sizzles; but in this case it doesn't. One problem is Stacey Donovan in the title role. While she is certainly one of the most photogenic of all the adult actresses, she lacks the erotic presence of say, Krista Lane, whose talents are wasted in this one.

In general the supporting cast fare as well or better than the stars, but special mention must go to Viper, who would make an excellent Bond villain of her own — for "Jane" or "James." The final scene between Donovan and "Thunderballs" (Sasha Gabor) does turn the heat up a few degrees, but frankly it's not worth the wait.
