Raw Talent II is a worthy successor to the original, and is actually top heavy with everything the movie Raw Talent had and more. One thing this video has over its precursor is sex: this time out it's better!
Jerry Butler returns as Eddie, a Vietnam veteran who thinks he's graduated from acting in porno films by taking parts in low-budget action movies. But the Ninja film he's shooting for director Colleen Brennan also has hardcore sex scenes, and Butler finds himself once again performing on-screen sex. What evolves is a plot filled with revenge, deceit and, of course, sex. The accent is on three-ways, and director Jay Paul and writer/producer Joyce Snyder present a number of dynamic encounters. Of special mention is Brennan and Buck Adams' seduction of Sheena Home, and equally hot is the scene in which Butler invites Greg Derek to share girlfriend Cassandra Leigh. There's also two strange sex scenes that, if nothing else, are original. One features goldfish, the other some family friends named Moe, Larry and Curly.
The often cynical script is filled with witty asides on subjects as far-reaching as casting couches, sexually transmitted diseases, unions and the rigors of making porn films. But some of Snyder's zesty dialog doesn't always mix well with the Karate Kid -spoof subplot, and the fight scenes — bogus "HI-YAs" and all — have lost their authenticity in the shot-on-video format. Still, any video with lines like "Porn is like tennis: you're rewarded for the strokes, but love means nothing," has got to be applauded.
