This series should continue, as Anthony Spinelli gets "real life" heat from the amateur performers who fulfill their fantasies by having on-screen sex with adult video stars. The first two installments, shot on film, were gems of a unique genre. I forgot how refreshing this cinema verite concept became after watching it.
Four scenarios begin with Spinelli interviewing the "reel" person, with a sex scene to follow. Everything is shot live, with little editing, no music and a real feel for what actually goes on during a sex vid shoots. Sandra Gabincera, 34 and married for 16 years, has a nervous beginning with Mike Horner and then a sweltering scene. Then Spinelli interviews her husband Michael, who has a blast with Nina Hartley. Eighteen year old stripper Vicki Blair acts like an old pro in a very hot and very real scene with Joey Silvera. These people are really getting off. Finally, Frank Harris has less luck with Lynn LeMay in a scene where the guy looks petrified. All part of real life.
Silvera works a gem after his sex scene in making director Spinelli crack up as the cameras keep rolling. It offers a unique view of behind-the-scenes sexmaking. I must admit that the "reel" ladies are not nearly as attractive as the men Spinelli signed, but the sex scenes are interesting, indeed.
A few technical glitches do not detract from the overall effect of a very interesting and well-conceived concept. More groundbreaking videomaking from the master, Anthony Spinelli. Sex box cover features Lynn LeMay and should ensure big rentals.
