Remember Neil Simon's classic about the neatnik and the slob? Director Henri Pachard has reworked the story into one about a slut and a spinster. Danielle returns to the sexy screen as the lustful reincarnation of Oscar Madison, and Siobhan Hunter is the straight-laced female Felix Unger in what is truly The Oddest Couple.
Danielle has left her husband because he can't give her enough. She attempts to find a roommate, and finally meets the sexually less-than knowledgeable Siobhan. After their first meeting, filled with hysterical lines when Siobhan has no idea what Danielle is talking about (she thinks "kinky" is a hair style) and Danielle's first party (do you remember Jack Benny's look of confusion when he stood, center stage, while all hell broke lose around him?) you know something has to give. And since this is, in fact, an adult movie, you can probably guess who converts, and with gusto.
This is a kooky, kinky, lustful, delightful movie. It's definitely Danielle's and Siobhan's film, and the rest of the cast is only around for sexual decoration. But the whole cast makes this a Grade A flick, one I recommend for those of you who like some potatoes and veggies with your meat. It's the kind of dirty movie that gives dirty movies a good name.
