Billed as a romantic comedy, Motel Sweets concerns the problems of a night manager (Eric Edwards) and his guests. Taija Rae plays the bored hotel hooker looking for real love, but only finds genuine weirdoes in the Johns she picks up. Most of the humor centers on a play on words, as Edwards tries to communicate with a Spanish maid who has a limited English vocabulary. The romance is virtually nonexistent.

The sex scenes lack energy, are overly short and rely too heavily on oral foreplay. It takes a full fifteen minutes before there is any nudity, and a half hour before anything happens to warrant a XXX rating. That's OK if the story compensates, and it really doesn't. Transition scenes are way too long and should have been edited down so more sexual action could be squeezed in. On the plus side, the colors and sound are good and the sets are realistic.

Motel Sweets is an average sexvid with a little humor and even less erotic action.
