There's that fine gray area in adult video known as "Pro-Am" that's getting hazier and hazier to define. To date we've seen Pro-Am tapes to include (a) amateur performers mixing it up with well-known stars ( e.g., Dirty Debutantes); (b) amateur and professional performers in scenes lensed and marketed by professionals (e.g. Mr. Peepers); (c) professional performers in scenes shot amateur style with little or no storyline (e.g., Anal Adventures of Max Hardcore); (d) tapes produced by porn stars directly for their fans (Selena's Secrets) and (e) professional and amateur performers in videos that are neither fish nor fowl, neither full-length features, but don't fall conveniently in the other categories, either. Welcome to Date in Dallas produced by the husband & wife team of Frank and Ona Zee.

The award-winning Ms. Zee turns out an intriguing talking heads/performing bodies gonzo, sexumentary tape. Call it a video magazine vehicle on Pro-Am wheels. The footage is taken from when Ona appeared at the Caligula XXI club in Dallas several months ago. In addition to Ona interviewing several of the girls who appeared on the bill with her, there's some pretty torrid footage of their stage performances sliced in for color. With a little verbal persuasion, Ona gets a couple of the girls to get nasty for the camera including a girl named Phoebe who does her first ever girl-girl with Ona. This segment, alone, rates as a definite must-see because Phoebe is a mouth-watering dream.

Later in the tape, Ona talks to a group of swingers about their lifestyle, and dives into the body pile like Hall of Fame defensive end Gino Marchetti. Know that old army expression, "I want to see asses and elbows"? This is where that line comes from.

For those of you who like it strictly professional, Ona pairs off in combustible style with Mike Horner in the opening segment. A little bit of something for everybody, this well-produced tape is audience interactive and will undoubtedly open doors for future video sexmags. It's a must for Ona fans and goodness knows that encompasses a generous body of lifestyles that range from A to Z.
