Beautifully shot, this 35mm feature film works well both as a story and on a sexual level — the sex scenes are fine examples of erotic filmmaking. It's one of the best adult films of recent times.
Teri Weigel works for lingerie manufacturer Joey Silvera, who's worried that somebody's stealing his designs. Could it be models Tracy Winn or Alexandria Quinn? How about phony lingerie buyer Marc Wallice? Certainly, it can't be Girl Friday extraordinaire Teri Weigel? The main action of the film has Silvera and Murphy tracking down clues and occasionally getting laid, while still more action happens back at the office, all done to a background of sensual music.
Two of its hottest scenes—the opener between photographer Buck Adams and model Alicyn Sterling, and the closer between Silvera and Devon Shire—don't really relate to the rest of the storyline, but define the sexual aspects of the film. The absolutely beautiful, lush camerawork, which concentrates on shadows, and the set design which takes blues and golds as its theme, are industry tops. And then there's the silly dialogue between Silvera and Murphy while they're tracking the thief which adds some humor.
Teri Weigel is as sexy as ever, though she's at her horny best in the tub scene with Joey Murphy near the end. The d.p. with Alexandria Quinn is also excellent. Poor sound mars the dialogue between Wallice and model Britt Morgan, but the sex is reasonably hot.
Lingerie Busters is the first film in a long while to actually be shot on 35mm, rather than on 16mm. And it may well be shown in theatres who still have the equipment to project film, as in Europe. Stores should absolutely carry this high-quality sexual extravaganza.
