Dorik Perman, born with muscular dystrophy and wheelchair bound since birth, made his own home video and submitted it to Ed Powers, famed for his Bus Stop Tales series.  Subtitled Porn On The 4th Of July, this tape is meant as a tongue-in-cheek response to the myriad "help the handicapped" messages that pervade the media.  Perman says that, hey, some handicapped people can get horny and screw, and he proves it by getting it on with Debra, his nurse of 12 years.

This handicapped 36-year-old man wants to be exploited and show the world his sexual abilities.  He has a perverted sense of humor, and as the self-proclaimed "Godfather of the Disabled," is rather proud of his two-camera amateur taping of his laid-back, patient-nurse encounters.

Prior to the sex action, Ed Powers includes a riveting interview with the "star," without which most viewers would probably shrug off what follows as just another gimmick.  However, this sensitive interrogation lays the framework for the tape's credibility and an understanding of Perman's passion for life, his sexuality and his proud auteurship.
