Wow! Talk about an all-star cast! Talk about film noir! Talk about a hard-boiled detective novel brought to the screen. And great sex. In fact, the only problem with this this lavish, well-acted, reasonably well-written crime drama is that the story sometimes overwhelmes the erotic scenes.

Buck Adams plays Mickey Shane, an enforcer for the Lucchi crime family. When eachofthe Lucchi boys (T.T. Boy, Silvera, Leslie) screws up, Adams fixes it... and the streets run red as a result. But the Lucchis decide Adams has seen too much; it's his time to go, and they plan his send-off to happen at the weekly poker game. Little do they know that Adams has made a deal with The Iceman (St. Jox) that should pull him through unharmed ... or will it?

Along the way, we're treated to some really fine sex, the very best of which you won't see till the end; Adams and European sensation, the beautiful blonde Silver. You won't believe her moves when she rides him. Also well worth mentioning are the two interrupted sex scenes, first between Summers and Tracey Adams, then between Eon Jeremy and Nina Hartley. Both are excellent as far as they go, but they don't go far enough.

But when people aren't humping away, the background is filled with Adams telling his story, and after a while, he just begins to sound like an overwritten novel. Maybe this is one tape you'll want to take in small doses. On the other hand, this is certainly an auspicious beginning for Adams as a director and scripter. He's a major talent that we certainly want to see more of.
