Each succeeding episode of The Brat adds one more brilliantine facet to what’s becoming an intriguing character study: Nikki Randall’s Jenny Dickinson.
By this time Tom Byron is joining Ricky Ricardo in the inferno of overtaxed husbands as Randall, in this episode, insists on acting lessons. Drama coach Mike Horner asks if she’s done any acting before. Randall says, “I can fake an orgasm.” Randall as always is totally committed for a five minute attention span to her latest whim even if it means “scrubbing toilets” (Pachard should be happy) or, “yuck, selling perfume at Woolworths.”
Always looking for a new slant, director Thomas experiments with a two-camera shoot in an attempt to make some physical sense of video sex (he succeeds) and he relinquishes some sex scene time in favor of story (can you believe that?). The results may not please raincoaters who want hardcore graphics, but should delight those who can appreciate a more stable relationship between video technology and erotica. Excellent box cover.
