David Stanley channels David Lynch. Kind of. There’s nothing remotely like this oddball horror-comedy, a goof on Lynchean themes of dreams vs. reality and time warps.

Kaylani watches aghast as boyfriend Chris Cannon goes up in green smoke. They’re in a haunted apartment. The doctor and his wife, who lived there 70 years ago, drugged people and fed them to snakes, then died in a fire.

The weirdos - Randy Spears, at his most leeringly outrageous, and Exotica - seem to exist both then and now. They bring in “nurse” Cassie Young, who, with Spears, delivers the movie’s hottest sex. But it’s Kaylani who provides star presence and first-rate acting.
